Anyone know of any good war films that aren’t world war 1 or 2 and concentrate mostly on the battles (Aware of Gettysburg the Patriot waterloo…)

WARNING: I am very very opinionated so please don’t read this and then start fighting with me about this or that. I will, however, listen to opinions that are calmly explained to me, so that i can see their point.
Just yesterday, I took the trip with my 8th grade class from Tecumseh, Michigan to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I was excited to go there, but once I got there, everything was not as I expected. The whole time we were on a ghost walk, we didn’t even go anywhere! We walked around two buildings and heard made-up stories about ghosts, but none of us saw any ( don’t believe, anyways, but still, I could’ve written better stories about ghosts), even though “everybody who comes here sees them,” according to our guide.
We were hoping to hear things we’d never heard about gettysburg when we went there. Instead, all we heard were the same 50 facts that we’d been studying for two months in school, and then listened to the guides whine about how they can’t keep EVERYTHING the EXACT same way it was when the battles of the civil war happened.
Also, we went to General Pickett’s buffet and then saw the battle theater thing in the upstairs portion. It was really boring, and the movie we watched was very un-professional and explained everything we already knew, and the ones that we always complain about seeing in class were better than it was.
it looks like the locals hate how their town is a tourist trap, because our group got cussed at 5+ times by locals passing by who said that we shouldn’t be invading their town. I don’t blame them. Our very own town is historical, and we get a lot of visitors, but we like the way our town is represented, because we’ve preserved what we can, but we haven’t gone to the extreme like in gettysburg. There, instead of letting nature take over like it wants to, there was some project that was started to cut down all of the trees in the battle field that have grown in since the battles there. it seems like they don’t realize that 100 years from now, the only history that the town will have (besides the battles) is how everyone cut down all the trees to have open grass space for tourists to walk around in. They don’t want the town to grow and change like it should be able too.
I am NOT dissing the town in any way, shape or form, and i’m not dissing the people in it, either. I just was un-happy with the way people have chosen to represent the town. It seemed like the people who really lived there and everything were unhappy with it, too.
Remember, I don’t want to get into an argument. Maybe there are cooler things to do there, but we never did them the one day we were there. So, what did you think of a trip to gettysburg, and if you’re a local, tell me what your thoughts are, too!
