If you lived in California and were putting together a survivalist kit in case of a natural disaster/civil war/terrorist attack/invasion by Obama clones (or whatever it is that survivalists prepare for), and you were including a rifle/assault/carbine sized gun, what would be your first choice from the ones that can be legally purchased in California and why would you choose it?
the guy that said 30-06 was good. how about an sks w/a c&r license.
don’t for get tons of ammo fast. they can’t can’t ban the guns, but they can make the ammo expensive and hard to get.
Considering the heinous gun laws of California, I’d go with a Ca. legal SKS. California legal AK’s and AR’s are too much of a pain in the butt to reload, the SKS with 10 round stripper clips can be reloaded very quickly and easily. But then again, if it was something like a civil war, or a islamic terrorist attack, the laws governing firearms would be pretty much useless anyhow so what would stop you from having a any other state legal AK or AR?
.If I was in your situation I would get a H&R single shot 223 rifle and get a 12 Gage barrel for it.And buy at least 500 223 rounds and 500 12 Gage rounds. You can get a H&R rifle shotgun combo fairly cheap 350 to 400$.I would also look into getting a 22LR barrel for the H&R.Also look into getting a cheap handgun in 22,9mm,38 or 357mag get a cheap revolver because they are simple you are more likely to have problems with a cheap auto than a revolver. The reason I recommend these rounds 12Gage,223,22LR,9mm,38 and 357 mag is that these are really common rounds and easy to get.I would say for you to get these things soon I have a really bad feeling about what is going to happen in our country in the near future.
Barret .50 Caliber Sniper Rifle
Its the most bad-*** sniper on the planet right now, and you can legally have one (Assuming you have a gun permit!)
Once .50cal rifles were banned, a .49cal rifle that was even more powerful was implimented.
lol.
You sound like the kind that would be more then welcome in AZ. Not like the other CA nuts that move here wanting to change us ti be like CA. Come on down I’ll show you a few good shooting places
id have my 30-06 deer rifle with tons of ammo
Best LEGAL assault weapon?
Right off the top of my head….
Saiga AK Rifle.
Its the SAME thing as an AK-47, its got the same internals and frame, etc….just the outside cosmetics are different and make it more “sporty” or for “hunting” purposes……doesnt have wood, just synthetic plastics.
They can easily be modified to take high-capacity magazines and you can easily dress them up as a real ak-47.
The BEST part is they are made in Russia in the same factory as the Russian Army Ak-47’s.(but theirs are fully automatic)
Saigas ARE legal in california.
(although you may find some pussy gunshops that wont ship or sell them….but they are defiantely legal.)
Im NOT sure what you can and cannot add to the rifle…..
But a BASIC saiga hunting rifle is perfectly legal, and normally come with a plain Rifle Buttstock……or Skeleton-Stock which Kind of has a pistol grip…but its pushed back alittle further, but still gives it a slight assault look.
The normally come in .223, 7.62×39, .308, or 12 gauge shotgun.
The 7.62×39 is the Russian caliber of the AK-47
.223 is the american caliber.
.308 is a hunting caliber and alot larger and more powerful.
12 gauge is the line of sporting/assault shotguns they offer.
They normally come with 5-10 round magazines
They normally cost around $250-300, but with the market prices of guns lately, expect to pay around $400-600.
I paid $350 for mine and total price was $420 with taxes and background fees, etc….
You CAN buy high-capacity magazines for these rifles or shotguns.
EVEN though high-caps are illegal in california…there IS a legal way to ship them there.
(Gotta e-mail me for that, im not going to post how on public forums.)
But there ALSO may be some legal AR’s or something in california…..not sure though.
Other than that, maybe buy an SKS, or stock up on pistols.
Most hunting stores also have old Mossin Nagants or old russian rifles that go for DIRT CHEAP(like $70-120) and ammo is dirt cheap.
Those are cheap easy rifles and decent for combat
